I would think they would have to do a huge study upon birth just to get a decent number of possible trans people to determine anything and then have to wait like 20 years to continue it. Getting funding for such a study might be a problem.

If you were born in 66, you were 8 when Vietnam ended. The civil rights movement was pretty much done by 74 as well. You might have fought in Desert Storm, but that was so small and quick the odds of you being there are pretty small. The AIDS epidemic was bad, but if you didn’t live in a major city you likely wouldn’t have known anyone with AIDS. The Cold War pretty was winding down by the time you were born and the threat of nuclear apocalypse was mostly bit really worth worrying about by the 80s.

It was a pretty big deal, it just didn’t amount to anything. But a lot of people were worried about it.

There’d have to be some sort of stipulation that made it so nobody could do that. I don’t know how you’d do that, but it could probably be done. Are there any laws that prevent people convicted of fraud from doing the same thing again? Maybe something like that.

Not to be argumentative or anything like that, just wanted to state that I used to have a job where we worked 4 tens and I loved it. Two more hours a day kinda sucked, but having a 3 day weekend every week was nice. Granted, 4 8s would be better if I still made the same money every week.
