Also, five tomatoes? I dunno what kind of under watered little vines you’ve been growing, we pulled nearly three pounds of tomatoes from our garden from just three plants. And I barely did any weeding this year. That’s enough for some damn good vodka marinara.
I lived off the land in my youth, so I know exactly what is needed to grow food. I know how much land you need to feed a family, I know how much work it is to feed a family. You can spare me with “growing more than needed” bullshit, you have more than you need because you need zero. “It’s not five tomatoes, it’s almost kilo and a half” is exactly what I’m talking about. I’m happy for you that you’re doing it, growing tomatoes is nice and fun if you’re into that sort of things, and it’s might be the only way to actually get your hands on good tomatoes this days. I, however, despise this “I’m actually a proletarian doing a mutual aid” larp, because you aren’t and you don’t. It’s insulting and performative, and if your goal is actual mutual aid, it’s actively goes against it. It’s not better or worse than any other hobby you might have.
