If you put LLMs in everything, eventually when something good happens, then someone can pretend it was because of the LLM!

Cancer doesn’t get cured by ideas alone, the most demanding part of the job is actually testing the treatments, which takes a huge amount of money, time, and effort. No technology will change the fact that you need to wait 10 years to see if a treatment can prevent the cancer from coming back for 10 years.

If AI can find a cure for cancer, and it probably will contribute, it wont come from the LLMs and it wont come from “big tech”. At least not the ones desperate to stay afloat.
