This app just starts some productivity session while forbidding some programs from starting. Is there a Linux and most importantly FOSS version of it?

Is there a FOSS Linux alternative to Freedom? I’m looking for something that can start a focus session and block selected apps/websites from launching. I’d really love a privacy-friendly, open-source option.@Psyhackological @sports games For Linux, I’d probably prefer a combination of existing FOSS tools rather than something that has to run with deep system privileges. LeechBlock is useful for browser distractions, while AppArmor can be used to restrict specific applications.
For a full “productivity session” approach, a small script could combine those ideas: temporarily apply the restrictions, start a timer, and provide a simple command to disable them early. That would keep the user in control while still making it inconvenient enough to launch distracting programs.
I think the important distinction is whether the restrictions are voluntary and reversible. If it’s something you deliberately enable for yourself and can turn off when needed, it feels quite different from software that tries to enforce restrictions against the owner of the machine.
LeechBlock in the browser is enough for me. Travel tabs go in a separate Firefox profile so they do not sit next to work. Last one was a Phuket yacht charter page.
