Everything he’s saying is “neoliberal”…so does that mean the light and dark sides got together to cast themselves out?

Everything he’s saying is “neoliberal”…so does that mean the light and dark sides got together to cast themselves out?

So…Facebook is next, right?

The irony is the lack of irony.

Right. I’m sure this time it will all be for a good cause, and not at all just to line the pockets of Trump’s favorite donors. You know, unlike all the other times, when that’s exactly what it was.
His track record for doing the right thing is 0%. There’s always an angle. And taxpayers will always be left holding the bag. You’d think after ten years of watching him scam the public, you guys would have figured this out by now…but, apparently not.

Trump says he loves dogs. He’s a huge fan of them. Am I morally required to hate dogs now? Is it supporting the Trump administration if I also love dogs?
First of all, Trump hates dogs. He calls people “dogs” as an insult.
And, no…you are not obligated to hate dogs, just because he says he likes them. But, if you’re paying attention to what Trump actually says about dogs, you’d know that he’s lying when he says he likes them.
That’s what you’re missing here.
No one is saying it’s bad to go after scammers abroad. What I’m saying is, that’s not what’s going to happen here. Everything Trump does is a favor to a donor. All that’s going to happen here, is that one of Trump’s friends is going to get paid taxpayer money for these “contracts”…whether or not they had a cybersecurity company already, or they just started one last week in order to cash in on this week’s giveaway.
It’s literally what he’s been doing with every single one of these little “projects”. His donors get “vetted” by him…regardless of whether or not they qualify for the job…and make ten times what they donated to his campaign in return for that donation.
It’s all a scam.

OMG. Are you seriously this gullible? Did you wake up yesterday morning, with your memory wiped? Does the name Trump not ring a bell?
It has never mattered what Trump “says” in these memorandums. The results are always the same. He’ll take the most noble of sentiments, and use it to do the most despicable things. Why? Because it’s always about the money with him.
JFC, man. Do you honestly think that “this time, he really means it, because it’s such an important thing”? Everything this administration does, is for the enrichment of Trump donors. It’s all a racket.

Do this…but with legitimate government oversight. There are literally already branches of the Federal government that do this, or could be further empowered to do more.
All this is, is another way from Trump to funnel taxpayer money to his donors.

So…he’s privatizing law enforcement, now? Cool.

Yeah, no thanks.
Eh. I’m actually presenting the idea that breaking these cameras is just putting more of your own hard-earned tax money in Flock’s pocket. Every camera you break is another sale for them.
This really just reminds me of back when Conservatives were going out and smashing Bud Lite by the case, in protest over them doing an ad with a trans person. I just kept thinking, “What does Bud Lite care if you smash their beer? As long as you keep buying it, you can do whatever you want with it…and Bud Lite’s bottom line remains unchanged.”
This feels just like that. I mean, I get it…it’s cathartic. But, you aren’t hurting Flock. You’re just spending your own money over and over again, and they’re making money off of you that they wouldn’t have made otherwise.
Yeah, ok…but, what color Star Trek shirt?
That would be ideal. But unfortunately, if the city can’t afford it…they’ll just raise your taxes. Either way, your tax dollars are funding all of this shit.
(and why am I getting down voted for pointing this out?)
When one falls down, they just put up another one, and bill the city for the replacement. Guess who inevitably pays for it?

Well, at least we know this can only happen 98 times, by mistake.

What “thieves”? No one saw any “thieves”. You can’t prove anything.

Saying it’s a matter of scale is an understatement. You need mass to keep the core molten, along with the right combination of elements to produce a working magnetic field that doesn’t fade over time. Mars has neither of those things going for it.
If you want to terraform Mars, you would have to rebuild it from scratch…basically creating a whole new planet with the right core composition and size. Even if you could pull all that material into one location and guide it all into a stable orbit, it would then take hundreds of millions of years to cool and set into something we could even hope to live on.
I don’t think human beings will ever be capable of that level of geoengineering. It’s just not realistic given the alternatives.

I felt exactly the same way about Elon Musk back in 2018(?) when he went on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and said the easiest way to terraform Mars was to just nuke the polar ice caps…and voila…instant atmosphere.
I don’t think I’ve ever palm-slapped my forehead that hard in my life. All of a sudden I knew he was just another fuckin’ moron with way too much money to burn.

So the solution to all those wasted resources is…to waste even more resources putting them in space? With literally zero actual benefit?
Lol! Ok.
Thank you. That makes way more sense.
