Anecdotally, last week I (middle aged lady) was approached by two strange men. One tried to grab me outside my work site, and one told me how lovely I was and asked for my number (in target). It’s much, much worse for young women. It’s not manufactured, unlike the doubt of women’s lived experience seems to be.

It’s more of a “haven’t experimented” with the alternatives yet rather than them not being good. Mainly a time issue for me.

I do a lot of data entry stuff and have some custom sheets and graphs I’ve made for individuals over the years. Time, mainly.

I really like libreoffice honestly. In my job I have to use docs but I find myself copying from libre office most of the time. Prior to that, I used to create all my visuals with office and do my graphs in excel. So I’ve tried a few different ways to do things. Libre reminds me of old school products and I kind of like that. Plus it does what I want with shapes. Which is nice when I need to make visuals. I still use excel though, for now.

Pretty much my only hope at this point, lmao.

Worked at a Best Buy back in 2018. I’m 5’. I thought I was going to be trampled several times by aggressive packs of customers. I quit a few days later.

Yeah good point. I’m interested to see how it will work out, and whether it will become less convenient to have a whole gaming setup anymore.

I might get brave and try it on this older machine. I’m not super savvy. I can put Legos together…like a good millennial, but that’s about it. One foot at a time etc.

It’s time for me to build a new gaming pc. With the current cost and this…(keeping in mind I’m no computerologist) I may just get the Steam Machine.

Dating and already having nearly grown children in your thirties is also weird. People assume you aren’t allowed to have standards (single moms are for fun) or to raise their small children for them (mommy shopping). Or you are looking for a replacement parent (absolutely not). It’s…something.

Education, perhaps? I know it’s under attack as well. Maybe there are some opportunities though.

Personally, It is not that I’m not open, it’s that I don’t have the time between work and household. And most of my problems are my work computer/services, which uses cloud everything…I have no control over that. Otherwise I wouldn’t know what to start with. I still need to connect to those same cloud services when I work from home. I really only turn my computer on to play things on steam or have 3 monitors for my spreadsheets. What do you suggest?

I use it for making materials for special education usages. Word processor almost never.

The low-tech appliances in my cheap apartment work pretty great. Just modern enough not to waste a ton of water, but still have knobs and rattle the floors.

Can confirm, as an idiot. IT hates me. But it’s mainly my kids using my Lenovo as a frisbee.

I rarely go to McDonald’s but I personally like the kiosk because it gives me time to think and change my mind. But the ai I’ll definitely pass on.
