This and banning Windows is silly… Ban the functions you don’t want… That way other OSs are lumped in or the OS can be configured appropriately.
Chromebooks and iPads for kids here just made better (brain rot) consumers that know less about computers than their parents and even grandparents.
I’m all for pushing to Linux or de-shittified systems, but “banning Windows” doesn’t suffice and the bigger alternatives have the same problems and/or worse.

12·13 days agoYeah but to clarify, encrypted traffic is still encrypted. They can’t see specifics beyond the sites you went to, urls, dns queries, etc… to hide that you’d need a VPN.

2·28 days agoI think it was a comment on the use case for an app not really changing but the resources to run it bloating significantly… E.g. software running on a computer with MB of ram then and now the app alone requiring GB.

Haven’t found a phone that isn’t color stupid or takes pics that don’t turn to grainy trash with the slightest zoom… Even 50mp phones are wildly outclassed by a decent 18-24mp cam.
