In my experience, women are more likely to talk trash about things easily changed: judging someone for clothes that don’t fit well or makeup that’s poorly applied, whereas men will trash women for body type, weight gain, and aging.

I mean no offense, but some Dr’s are wild. It’s not just babies who are faking pain, but also women and POC. My husband was given the same pain meds/schedule for a cut on his thumb that I was for childbirth with a second degree tear. He was given even better pain meds the time we went in for a “mystery pain” in his chest that they could find no evidence of.

Yep! I’m both! My glass hutch in the kitchen is all clear and white glass and matching sets, daily use. My hoarders nest cabinet in the pantry holds cups from mystic pizza, the pirate restaurant, promotional yetis, my nostalgic Tupperware from college with no lid.

Damn thank you for sharing that. I can’t believe how little we all know about menopause considering almost half of humanity will eventually go through it!

Saying cis women can just stop their periods if they feel like it is a vast over simplification. Birth control fucks with your hormones often in very unpredictable ways. My friend had a light period for like 3 months straight due to her birth control and the doctors said that was fine and normal. In me, birth control triggered treatment resistant suicidal depression that I deal with to this day. In my sister, it gave wild mood swings and general emotional instability. My other sister was just plain allergic to it.

It’s dangerous for women to go on hormonal birth control even though it’s so common and normalized. Women’s Healthcare in the USA is so hit or miss, and doctors are often uninformed or dismissive. Maybe you live elsewhere where it’s better?

Please understand that periods are absolutely not optional. Even a complete hysterectomy (not that many of us could be granted one anyway) would trigger early menopause which is its own host of issues.

Well, as a human I’ve got plenty of biases, some of them petty I suppose.

Maybe it’s a the curtains are blue situation? Like we attribute all this meaning to art, and we get to guess at whether we’re right, or whether the artist wanted us to be drawn to specific components. We understand that art often has symbolism and that it’s meant to be evocative.

But with AI art, there’s none of that. Whatever meaning I attribute is purely projection - which is often true in regular art too, except that I have a social contract with the artist that we both agree we want me to look at this art and have feelings, whatever they may be. A social contact with a computer isn’t real and feels disingenuous.

Pizza tastes better, even retroactively, if you find out someone you love made it for you.

I love second hand therapy!! I’ve gotten it from aunts, sisters, my grandmother, my friends. Heck I’ve benefited from third hand therapy! My first hand always works best, of course, but keep on sharing what you’re learning! Best case, you help a buddy, worst case your buddy learns something about you!
