I do not see the problem. You could bump both of those down to 20 and she’d have a 10y/o grandkid. Multiple grandkids even.
E: Aside from all that, teen pregnancy happens, and while it’s not ideal it also doesn’t make the mother some kind of untouchable pariah.
you are having an entirely different conversation than the one you are in. The point of all these little things is that kids teach them to other kids. I assume theres still kid-lore, its just about… idk, how to unlock the Freddy fazbear skin in fortnite or whatever

Technology@lemmy.world•US automakers urge Congress to quickly pass law banning Chinese carsEnglish
0·2 months agoThe CEO of Ford drives a Xaomi. He could have any car he wanted, and he chooses a Chinese car. It’s ostensibly for market research but he’s said he really doesn’t want to give it up. So yeah they’re cheap, and also I think China might just genuinely make better cars at this point. While China has been investing into manufacturing and consumer tech the big three have been dragging their heels and kicking and screaming because they see engineers as cost centers and that is biting them in the ass as well.

82·2 months agoCanada does a lot of things better than we do, but all the things, really? They, too, have serious problems in their healthcare and educational systems. They’ve got severe staffing shortages in hospitals and long wait times, and their IEA scores are dropping across multiple subjects relative to international standards. Most younger working class Canadians alive today do not expect to buy a home maybe ever.
I don’t mean this as a tu quoque, we have huge problems here too and like I said Canada does a lot of things better than we do, but this kind of starry-eyed adoration can only end in disillusion.
PS don’t look up when the last documented “starlight tour” was

Technology@lemmy.world•AI assistant hacks gym website in first known Australian autonomous cyber attack: Andrew asked his personal assistant to book him a spot in one of his gym's coveted morning classes.English
4·2 months agoThe hallucinations are real. I don’t use them for longer stuff, I demand admin time for anything that’s longer than a paragraph. But for quick office politics type stuff that I don’t really care about but also need to not get ground under and also worry about coming off as blunt I’m kinda grateful to have it.
I have noticed that damn near every email I get that’s longer than a paragraph seems to come from copilot though.
Tbh I’m starting to fantasize about switching to a trade. Front line office work is for the birds.

2·2 months agoCopilot is okay at being a copy editor for my work emails. I struggle with tone so its nice to have a built in thingy that strips my personality out of my emails. Specifically my emails to my supervisor.
For example, “hi supervisor, I checked and that email was sent an hour ahead of the deadline from the email you sent me on date x and I was waiting on access to y. What the hell are you ccing your bosses on this for,” turns into “something something per your previous email something, if I misunderstood something something, thank you for your guidance.”
In a perfect world I would have time to write all my own emails but my job is very… Communication heavy, let’s say, and I personally have a lot of work to do directly with clients that can’t simply be put off.

True. Without humor a person goes blind.
literally crying and shitting and pissing in my pants rn, how could u do this to me
I’m gonna echo a sentiment I saw on the last packet tracer meme. Posting these without a content warning is literally violence. I’m having flashbacks to NET 101. someone should stop you people,
The use of color here is brilliant. I love the design of these comics.
