2·20 days agoAs a leftie who has been forced to use right handed scissors, this is how I’ve done it since I figured it out as a kid.
No, what means the person has anxiety is the overthinking of a mundane social situation to the point it tires the person out from doing so.
Effort and stress are intrinsically linked. High effort activity naturally activate energy consuming processes and negative emotional states like frustration and fatigue.
Effort isn’t stress but effort inherently causes stress on the body.
A long walk or bike ride is stressful on the body. The stress created by physical exertion is what makes you tired.
Going to a large party where I don’t know anyone is exhausting because I am actively processing my interactions with everyone, thinking through whether certain things are appropriate for this situation before I say them.
This is literally stress inducing. You say it isn’t stressful and then describe being in a stressful situation. It’s literally anxiety that is causing us to overthink these situations, and that is causing stress, which is exhausting.

They are exhausting because they are stressful. As well, most introverts would be assumed to suffer from some sort of social malady such as socially-induced anxiety, which is why they would be introverts in the first place instead of extroverts.
It’s almost like these things are linked and that’s the situation this comic is trying to portray.
I mean it doesn’t help that our society has systematically destroyed third spaces where people could exist freely and socialize with others. Those that do still exist are becoming prohibitively expensive on top of it.
Structurally, we have built a damningly isolated society. So it’s no wonder people are supplementing that lack of social enrichment with media consumption.
It isn’t really a voluntary isolation when you exist in a society that is structured to isolate you from your community.

0·1 month agogonna be one of those games where you have to enemies with attack patterns that you waste time learning to overcome. Unfun gameplay imo
Lol wut? Actually engaging combat where you have to learn about the enemies is a waste of time? Do you just want brainless combat? How fucking boring.

2·1 month agoThe RNG absolutely sucks late in the game. You can have the theory to solve a puzzle in your head but you have to burn runs until you get the RNG needed to test out a theory. And they get incredibly fucking complicated. Like an entire binder of information necessary complicated.

11·1 month agoI didn’t continue after I think the 3rd season. That horrible representation of anarchism was infuriating.
By organizing to take back the means of production and revolutionize the system. Not uselessly deny yourself simple pleasures to feel morally superior to others by buying into the capitalist propaganda which shifts blame onto the consumer and away from the owners of production.
It’s literally Leftism 101 and you’re failing.

01·1 month agoThrough the private ownership over the means of production which they leverage against the proletariat through the commodification of community goods and resources in order to coerce their labor of which they then profit off in a cruel and oppressive cycle of forced dependency which is maintained through the state.
This is like Leftism 101.

4·1 month agoLiterally every season of Legends of Korra.
Just because that may be the case for your one locality it is not the case for the wider society at large. The disappearance of third spaces and the prevalent lack of walkability is a major social issue throughout the majority of the US.
NotJustBikes has many videos explaining this in detail.
It’s mostly car centric society paving over every third space imaginable and destroying the walkability of our neighborhoods. We built an outside that is dangerous to be a child in with nowhere for them to go.

0·2 months agoExcept morality is subjective and thus inherently dependent upon how one views it. There is no such thing as “objective morality”. Morales are always about personal preferences.

Tale as old as time, try to do some good and get labeled the bad guy by those who only react to surface level information.
