I got banned for saying something about Musk during the height of the DOGE circus. I don’t know what I said exactly because they delete the comment and then ban you.

I think I said I’d like to see him test his rocket and go to Mars. Which, I guess implies,… something.

My old account was banned from reddit a bit over a year ago. I don’t remember what I said that caused it, but it was anti-Musk.

I used to contribute a ton to that site, but after the ban I didn’t bother making a new account. I just leeched the site using old.reddit and had ad-block on. I found my use was reduced over the last few months because it’s just recycled posts these days.

I’m not creating an account just to browse old.reddit and see memes from 3 years ago.

A regular human would be doing things just for fun like restoring an old building they liked, or saving some dying kid. Maybe going the Dolly Pardon route and giving books to kids.

I used to be in IT for years. I left around covid period.

I’m SO HAPPY right now. AI drives me insane as it is. I can’t imagine working in an office having people making idiot decisions because it’s what AI recommended.

The boss at a place I used to work is all in on AI bullshit. My friend works for the company remotely. He says the boss sends him massively long email, constructed by AI, full of rambling half ideas. He said he used to try to pick through it and reply appropriately and professionally. The boss would feed that into AI and copy/paste the reply back.

Now my friend doesn’t even read the email. He throws it into AI, tells AI to craft a well thought out reply, and just sends that back at the boss. He told me if the boss won’t personally read and reply, he won’t either.

Last time I talked with him he said the email chain has been going over 4 months, it’s still going on, but he has no idea what it’s about anymore.

That’s my monster boomer mother. Also include “while you live under MY roof… blah-blah”. I spent my early childhood not feeling like I had a home. I was just visiting her house. Nothing was mine. She of course forgets my father paid for that house and she got it for free in the divorce.

She’d also say to me “the world doesn’t owe you a living.” She only had a high school degree and a year as a “kelly girl”. That turned into a secretary job at a community college, which later turned into a better secretary job at a huge aerospace company. After a few years that paid more than enough to live and she got stocks and a pension out of the deal. Her aunt died and left her a fortune (none for me). She’s one of those boomers that did the bare minimum in life, sits on a pile of free cash, free house, retired early, and complains about people on welfare or “damn government handouts”. Meanwhile she has never contributed anything of value to society, never volunteers, never donates to charity. She’s a fucking leach.

Oh yeah. When parents got divorced, she got primary custody of me. She was so insane, I ended up moving to my fathers house when I was 10. My father continued to pay her child support to stop her from filing a complaint with the court about me living with him (He was chill and figured it was the easy way to deal with her). So add that to the list of free money to her.

Anyway, now she’s old, fat, stupid, with no friends and will die alone. I actually expect her to die in the house alone and they’ll find her weeks later after her cat has chewed out chunks of her. LOL. Good kitty.

I bought a ROKU TV once. Got it unboxed. Plugged in. It wanted me to register to activate the TV even if I only want to use the HDMI input.

I unplugged it. Put it back in the box. Returned it.

One day they’ll shut off the registration system and if you ever factory reset the TV, it will be bricked. Fuck no to that.

I’ve used DDG on and off for years but switched to it full time when google started pushing their AI bullshit.

The ONLY thing I miss is google maps when I search for a particular business or something - but pulling up maps when needed is just one extra step. No problem.

These people spend a crap ton of money to set up over priced equipment in untreated rooms.
