I want our trains to have to deal with the speed of sound.

It’s incredibly annoying that we should have the fastest bullet train network and we don’t.

I absolutely love Vintage Story, but I dunno if it’s the best suggestion for someone who doesn’t like games that can feel like a life simulator. If watching pies rise isn’t your thing, you’re really gonna hate when you look away for a few seconds and come back to burnt pie. XD

Yeah I mean, they were pretty clear that there were gonna be bugs, but I can understand the frustration. For me it’s about building houses, and playing as your character is just a minor annoyance needed to get more money. XD

I also had bugs on launch, but only a few and they were minor. Software is weird.

I have the “Edward Kelly” achievement in Kingdom Come Deliverance due to brewing 15 types of potions. Only 3.3% of players have it, which is pretty high compared to most of the ones posted here, but it’s still a little interesting. Brewing potions in the game is a bit boring, and you can easily buy all the ones you need, so it’s understandable why few people would get it. I just kinda decided one day I wanted to get to auto-brew level of skill and that meant lots of potion. Might as well make as many different kinds as I can, and auto-brew requires you’ve done it once already anyway.

And how does a person actually get it?

I love the way it looks. It’s super easy to figure out where everything is. “Cutting edge” UI designers have a tendency to change things to justify their own existence. Is it easy for the user to navigate? Is it clear what does what? Great. Stick with your design language and only change it if you’re forced to by some fundamental change that is incompatible with the framework you currently have.

I fucking hate how every time my phone updates something is bound to be changed with no obvious benefit. Even worse when they remove functionality I was reliant on.

I would guess literally 99% of people could switch to Linux Mint and be more than happy.

It really does take a village and we need to get back into living with big extended families.

My parents installed “Net Nanny” to keep me from watching porn or spending too much time on the internet as a middle-schooler. (Trust me, they’re good and accepting parents.) Anyway, I figured out that all you had to do was not click “okay” on the startup-induced message window and Net Nanny never started the controls or timer.

People do it with fruit trees all the time. As the other commenter said, it’s called grafting.

New Jersey also banned billboards. That one is pretty easy and I vote that we should adopt that policy everywhere. It’s much harder to control digital adspace, since you can do things like astroturf campaigns and product placement. Great point though! I like that law.

Please propose a law or regulation structure for significantly reducing or eliminating advertisements. I’m serious. I fucking hate ads. I just don’t have a reasonable or effective way to get rid of them.

Edit: Hey actually I just thought of one! If the consumer is paying for the product, it can’t come with ads, including things like product placement or ad reads!

I did NTFS because both windows and Linux can read it. Do I know literally any other fact about formatting systems? Nope. I’m pretty sure I don’t need to, I’m normie-adjacent. I just want my system to work so I can use the internet, play games, and do word processing.
