  • When I was in therapy I learned lots of DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) skills one of which being ‘radical acceptance,’ which basically means you fully accept the situation and move on. What I’m trying to say is, saying “it is what it is” is a legit scientifically proven coping skill and I think that’s really funny.

My laptop has been discontinued by the manufacture for a couple years now and with support for Windows 10 ending, I wanted to increase the lifespan of my device so I looked into Linux. The lack of ads, bloat, and spyware are also major selling point to me.

We had a couple of brutal heat waves where I am this summer. It was like 35C but reached 43C+ with the humidity. It’s probably not super hot from where you might be, but it’s practically unheard of in my Canadian province. I couldn’t go anywhere without feeling like I was melting and I was covered in sweat it was so embarrassing! >_< Summer is my favourite time of year, I love going on long hikes regularly but the heat made it impossible.

  • I think is more of the loading power of my computer, sometimes there’s a bit of a delay when I open an application or try to close it, opening some setting will have more loading time than others. Although now that i think about it, I most likely had this problem with Windows, so its probably a hardware thing. My laptop is “old” by today’s standards (or at least, that’s what HP thinks lol). I have an HP Pavillion x360 2017 model. It has 8GB Ram, Intel Core i3 7th Gen processer, Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620 and a 1TB SSD.
