The usefulness of AI currently is not much better than predictive text.

Reddit getting paid to do fuck-all while their users generate all their content.

Actually, it’s worse than that because Reddit actively makes the site shittier every month.

To be fair, we all already use a national id with the social security numbers.

So pretty simply, the government would set up a SS number verification API, tech companies would call that, and use it to verify who you are.

It’s a terrible idea and I hate it, but that’s probably how it would work.

The fact that Reddit thinks all that user-generated content is theirs and that they need to protect it from AI is really fucked up.

Reddit itself produces nothing, they wouldn’t exist without the users.

Absolutely pathetic that they may block search crawlers over that.

Mozilla needs all they can get to compete with Google or else we risk losing a free and open internet.
