Should be…
You’re a Linux user, name every distro…
Debian, Arch, Fedora.
The backward time machine still won’t have arrived…
The steam machine will be about as powerful as your PS5. It’s unfortunate with pricing being where it is.
I always just upgrade my PC piecemeal. The biggest component for you to upgrade first would be your GPU. Even a RTX3060 or a RX6600 would be an improvement over what you have there.
If you went with the AMD option and installed bazzite/linux that would be pretty close to the specs for the upcoming steam machine. You would probably benefit from some of the optimizations Valve will inevitably do for their hardware over the next couple years… That is if you don’t need Windows for anything.
On your CPU you have a ton of options on the AM4 platform and 16GB of ram is still very usable.
Or just see what the actual steam machine does on pricing. But I’m no longer as optimistic about that given what Valve just did with pricing on the steam deck.
All right we just need the rooster. Does even one single lemming have a single shred of swag?
Who am I kidding, I think our team is fucked.
Which member of this gang would you be?
I feel like rooster is their leader, so I probably don’t have the swag to be rooster, though I wish I could be… After careful consideration, I think I’m goat.

We basically need an android compatibility layer before that can happen.

That reminds me, if you want a TV experience on YouTube that can also block shorts; I recently discovered “VacuumeTube” for desktop OSes.
But yes, “Enhancer for YouTube” is the only correct answer for the desktop experience.

“Enhancer for YouTube” add-on lets you block shorts on Firefox and Chrome.
The video hasn’t been released yet, they teased it on the wan show last night.
I like Kubuntu, mostly because I’m familiar with Ubuntu and I like KDE. Unfortunately, I had to move back to Windows 10 because of a professional app that I couldn’t get running.
When I was trying to make Kubuntu work. I installed flatpak so I would primarily use apps from flathub. The snaps were actually pretty useful if there were issues with the flatpak and the native binary. I also force installed the official Mozilla Firefox binary which was pretty easy. Personally I didn’t mind having snaps as an option. At least in Kubuntu it was easy to select which version of the package you wanted in the GUI.
Before I realized snaps could be useful I messed around with uninstalling snaps but they don’t make it easy or straightforward. It’s easiest just to ignore them if you don’t like them. Or pick a different distro if that’s a deal breaker for you.
Otherwise Ubuntu had the fewest issues/annoyances of the distros I tried. But maybe I’m just used to Ubuntu having toyed around with it for years.

Damn, I’m not sure I have the stamina for 3 weeks of that.
I’m planning on moving to the IoT edition of windows 10 when support ends. It’s supported till 2032. Hopefully by then the professional apps I need will be sorted out on Linux.
I wish this were true, but it isn’t.
If anything we lost ground on progressive representatives in 2022 and 2024. In 2026 some progressives are winning primaries again like they did in the 2018 cycle (and to a lesser extent in the 2020 cycle).
Biden didn’t pass or really even fight for the PRO act, he said he would veto medicare for all, he let Joe Manchin slice Build Back Better to barely a shadow of what it was supposed to be – which was already a cut from what we need which is the Green New Deal.
Outside of electoralism, we continued to lose ground in terms of unionization rates in the Biden years. Membership in DSA and other socailist/left-wing civil organizations were going down. On the ground organizing is going better under Trump than under Biden.
When evil hid its face somewhat the liberals went back to brunch and the evil was able to grow more slowly in the shadows, until the liberals were put in the position where they had to suppprt genocide because that was the lesser evil.
I get this isn’t anything anyone wants to hear. But tell me why any of it is wrong.
