I did “buy” (attention on the quotes) the anime Ghost in the Shell (1995) on Amazon Videos, this is my favorite animation, and I watch every year. I’ve DVDs, BlueRays and such, when I moved abroad bringing the devices to watch was a hurdle, so a online purchase was the dream. Guess who lost the access to this animation due to “contract reasons with the reseller, not with the customer”…
This was my spark to start a homelab. One step at the time. One day I’ll have everything that I need on my lab.

I kind of feel the same. But I had changed my country of living, and left way to much behind my back. But I wasn’t fully on the streaming/physical, I was kind of in the middle. Some stuff physical, and also streaming for some stuff.
I like the idea, but I’m so afraid of the rug pull that I can’t get back on this. I’ll keep my music on my drive and live like that for some time. Even knowing that the HDDs are getting pricier by the day I want to keep with me for now on. But I like the idea, give you the files, but also provide the option to stream.
