science@lemmy.world•US men are dying much earlier than women, as death 'gender gap' widens: Study
1·3 years agoThey talk about a few causes, but this is the gist of it for anyone who doesn’t want to click:
Researchers cited the pandemic as the biggest factor in the widening gender gap; it took a heavier toll on men. Unintentional injuries and poisonings (mostly drug overdoses), accidents and suicide were other contributors.

0·3 years agoTNG is a great place to begin. It’s usually what I recommend to anyone who hesitates to start the original. It matures the series and gets into the philosophy of trek more.
You can always go back to TOS later if you really get into the whole universe of Trek. It’s light-hearted and campy, the characters are cultural icons, and it’s fun to see where everything got started.
I respect the attention to detail in making fahrenheit imperial.

0·3 years agoLol, it may be the goofiest shot of him that we have.

It’s like reading a news article and seeing horribly constructed sentences and typos. Like, this is your main job! I know there are a lot of English majors out there who would love to find work.
