You can use a “routing server” from FUTO (the guys behind it) to make it happen as well, although obviously that just means shifting traffic through a benevolent third party rather than only the devices you own and manage.

Grayjay allows you to sync between devices if desired, including platforms. I have a desktop, laptop, and a phone, and I can sync everything locally by just pairing the devices and having them at least 2 active for the transfer.

I’m gonna take a wild guess and assume everything below the Mason-Dixon line will not bother enforcing squat.

Ahead of the curve, already downloaded all of the greats onto my selfhosted storage.

You can use something like GrayJay to watch YT and other sources (and have offline playlists and subscriptions) without a google account whatsoever. That helped me make the jump to fully degoogle.

Fusion360 actively attempts to block wine usage so you have to use a VM (or a single application VM like Winboat) for it to play ball. I haven’t had experience with any of the others though.

Hasn’t had any issues that weren’t rectified within a day for me. It has sorta yt-dlp functionality integrated with any source (so exporting your playlist to a local backup is a breeze).

Since the community can add their own sources, it’s relatively easy to find one if the one you want isn’t on the official support list. You also can use the client on any non-apple device so that’s cool. (Even has local sync which is sick)

As for the IP stuff, it usually only stops playback if YT flags you as a bot (since the client doesn’t send the telemetry data back to google that would normally validate your “humanity”), but something as simple as a VPN location/address change is enough to keep on watching (and the original address will work again within an hour).

It’ll just be one more source to add to my GrayJay client at the end of the day lol

Both of those games are CPU bound. Think about the amount of calculations for the thousands of entities (and tens/hundreds of players) Ark has to handle at any given frame. For CS2 it’s more about calculating as many frames as possible as responsively as possible while the GPU can effectively just focus on minimal eye candy.

How’s OpenStreetMap for that and walking around? I’ve degoogled a bit ago and have been using Co-Maps for cycling and driving navigation, but I never tried using it for nature preserves and trails (or walking around the streets where I live in the US).
