The confrontation, shared in a video that has circulated on Reddit, centres on a simple but uncomfortable question: should a doctor be wearing glasses with a built-in camera while examining a patient in an intimate clinical setting?
I hate it when articles do this. Firstly, answer is NO. secondly there’s nothing uncomfortable about the question itself because answer is a NO, third there’s no need to frame a clear violation of privacy as a question. If it’s not acceptable to pull out a phone and start recording in that situation, then it’s clearly not acceptable to wear those glasses.

I’m doing my part by already writing shitty code.
No dude, his proposal is a genuine recipe for disaster. I mean, disaster for Americans not for the AI companies. Do you think 50% ownership in these companies mean governance? Maybe but it’s not going to stop them from spending like crazy, which they already are. Bernie is framing it as democracisation of profits, but with an impending bubble that’s about to pop, it will most likely end up with democratization of losses. What’s worse this also would become a very nice excuse for future bailouts as now millions of people’s wealth is tied to the companies. In long term, it’s going to benefit the AI companies more.
Glad to know I wasn’t the only one who was thinking it

How interesting their paid tier has no mention of being ad free
I can assure more than half of them are redeemable.
I was gullible enough to believe it for a moment. Sigh
I skimmed over this comment and started wondering who in this world has their 3 languages as spanish russian and chinese. Some interesting family, they must have.

Dude, so many times I have encountered bad software lately, and I always thought, some Idiot must have used LLM for this. And I don’t even know why. Everything that already was working good started breaking down for some reason. Why are devs wrecking their code base just to fix minor bugs?

App experience has been shitty too.

I don’t think they dodged it
I’ll be honest, looking at how stupid people are today, I absolutely have no curiosity in seeing how stupid people were 300 or 400 years ago
Okay I don’t wanna sound too cynical, but let’s even forget complex physics, how are you going to even teach basic physics, and how likely are they are to even listen to you? Yes every action has an equal and opposite reaction, what’s a peasant gonna do with that knowledge? Unless you bring a real piece of technology with you, I feel it would be very hard to get their attention.
On a serious note, most of physics would just sound like witchcraft to them.
" You know the tides you see are caused by the gravitational pull by the moon "
" What is a gravity?"
" It’s a force that’s exerted by large bodies on each other "
" So is it like magic?"
“…”
" What other gods do you believe in?"
Correction: tides not waves. Thank you @gandalf_der_12te@discuss.tchncs.de
I am gonna be able to see this post after 2 weeks😭
Not only is it ruining the experience, the geoblock is easily bypassable via a free vpn. Idk whatever they are trying to achieve could be achieved if the geoblock is this bad.
Not working. Feddit.org is inaccessible, only when I am using vpn I can access it. It does look like they have geoblocked certain parts of Asia.
So I looked it up. Feddit seems to have blocked most parts of aisa because of Alibaba scrapping data. Someone from Saudi Arabia too reported being geoblocked.
