I’ve had a couple of jobs where the PTO was issued in one big block once a year in a use-it-or-lose-it system instead of accruing week by week. I’m not sure how common it is; I was kind of surprised by it the first time I encountered it.

I’m really starting to hate this technique in making titles. Tf does the age of the particular loophole they used matter? It implies that the problem is in using rules that have been around for more than 5 minutes rather than in the action of circumventing the rights of the citizens.

Meanwhile I’m playing Oxygen Not Included, and like half the time I look something up about the game, half the results are on reddit. There’s a lot of accumulated stuff on there that’s still helpful.

Of course, any false or outdated info will quickly be obvious when you start up the game again. Lower stakes than soldering safety.

Bit late to the party. They got caught infecting their customers’ machines with rootkits back in 2005.

I had to go back and check. Apple says that the default changed from bash to zsh in Catalina (10.15). I seem to recall a message coming up on the machine about zsh. I definitely remember poking around at config files and looking at iTerm2 vs. the default terminal app at the time.

Does that make me extra nerdy? IDK. I can tell you that I was more focused on “What’s going to be comfortable to work with” vs. nerding out on shell differences.

I do miss homebrew now that I’m working on a Windows laptop.

I used a macbook for work for a while with zsh in the terminal. IDK whether I qualify as emo, but I am nerdy. I only think of myself as regular nerdy, though, not extra nerdy.
