1·4 months agoI’ve been getting spammed to use these services… They didn’t even bother to check if I still work at the company in question they want to promote.
I rented a Ford Mach E and couldn’t believe I was driving a Ford I actually liked. The tablet features are a pain and I wish they hadn’t copied Tesla on that aspect… But everything else about that car was just a pleasure to drive. I was concerned about a rural road trip but between the efficiency of not driving a giant suv and the new DC charging station on the route it was no issue.
I was passing ICE Mustangs and Teslas so easily. Some lifted jackass was tailgating me when I was stuck behind a camper and I was in the next town over once I got in a passing lane.
I really think a solid effort to make cars fun again is 💯 what the US car culture needs rn.
Tell me you don’t actually code enterprise without telling me you don’t actually code enterprise.

2·6 months agoI code a ton in both Rust and Typescript for work… I think Rust has just as capable of a type system, but leveraging macros for functional defs vs object ones.
I believe the cost is more to do with the electronic components. Ink cartridges are kind of like the OG disposable electronics and now we have disposable vapes.
1·1 year agoI finally did the last satisfactory delivery last week and have started making themeed train stations and ficsonium power plants.
The only game that feels like a job that I’d actually love to do lol.
The rest of your post is fantastic, and I appreciate a good distro hop… However I gotta say that with bazzite, using dev-env to build quick boxes to get work done and user space for layering configuration and other tweaks has been a much better user experience for me. I have been using Linux distro since 2004 and every time I sudo installed something it inevitably would lead to some weird lib or system level configuration change that wasn’t easy or obvious to fix. With bazzite I’ve been able to write drivers for my flight sim setup without having to use root once.
Tldr: bazzite/immutable for the win
