I was looking for a mention of csh! Senior sysadmin at $DAYJOB uses it still.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Are you on which team: vim, nano, micro, er ed for you terminal based text editor?
0·4 months agoI use the vi family of text editors in a CLI environment because it is part of the POSIX standard.
Even if nano is the default, vi will be there too, and I can just use that. Plus, if you know some basic vi commands, then you can get by without nano, and you don’t need to know nano to use it for basic stuff as it shows you the key combos.

It’s been over 10 years since I tried it, but at that time it was common for OpenOffice to have compatibility issues with MS office formats, but those issues were already fixed in LibreOffice.
Haha classic.
Good info in this comment https://lemmy.world/comment/22430995
I think you misread “only office” as “open office”. Though, you typed both in your reply… 🤔
Why on earth is OpenOffice here??
LibreOffice is the maintained fork.
It has been that way for 16 years now.
16 years.
There are people working full time jobs who were born the same year that LibreOffice started.
Stop promoting OpenOffice. People will have problems with it that have been long fixed in LibreOffice.

Welcome to reality. Snapchat, WhatsApp, Facebook, intsagram, etc. They are not private. Just don’t use them. It’s wild how people are willfully ignorant about this.
