Burden of proof bro. I’m not the one claiming that it likely would have.

Depends where you live. I live in Australia, and there isn’t a single service station that makes you prepay where I love. You can just pump and pay at the end, always.
Knowledge is knowing they’re not a plant. Wisdom is still putting them in the plant section in the grocery store.

Could have? Maybe. Likely would have? No.
The files app was added in 2017, and you could do some of these methods even before that. Got a bee in your bonnet there or something mate?

Oh I read that ya dick, I just have more than one braincell so I can see that that’s a slightly different point.

Indeed

Outrage is always louder than agreement. If 1% of people hate a thing, but they really hate it, there’ll be 10 articles about how it’s bad and one article about how it’s good, because something being good doesn’t get clicks. The people who find it useful or good or even are just fine with it just get on with their lives.

Yeah 100%, an agent failing at what I want it to do is extremely rare now, like, a 1% chance at most, and it’s usually easily fixed. I think most people with this experience aren’t developers at all in a professional sense and therefore don’t have the oversight to write a prompt properly with well defined goals and scope, or they’re using the free version or something.
The study methodology is also extremely dubious to boot. This is just getting clicks due to pure anti-ai sentiment. I have my own issues with AI too, but this is just classic internet clickbait.

This is a small, fairly biased survey with unpublished proper metrics. Whether you agree or disagree with the result, this is bad science.

I doubt it would’ve won anyway. There were loads of OS’s at that time, most not having the issue of the US government intervening, and none of them won either.
I don’t know what y’all are doing wrong but I never see AI on youtube. Starting with organic creators is the right way to go. Perhaps people who are experiencing this are browsing whilst not logged in? Algorithms have their downsides but mine knows I wouldn’t want that
fairly recent changes
By fairly recent you mean the last decade?
It’s almost like that’s my point.

Well yeah, and none of that will be possible until the fascists are turfed out, which can only be done with voting for now.
As someone who gave up on linux years ago, this sounds like one person driving a broken old alfa romeo shitting on someone else driving a broken old fiat. Whilst I watch on from a modern EV.
Hah, here come the downvotes.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
No? It didn’t? You could literally plug an external hard drive in, or do straight to dropbox or cloud storage from the moment the files app was added… why do you keep saying stuff that’s so easily checked with a single google?
