Awesome show. Another show I liked, but with a different tone, was Corporate. They had some amazing episodes in their 3 seasons.

20·2 months agoClaude code even added an auto mode so that you don’t get blocked by that pesky reviewing anymore. Since then, the usual mode of asking before running a command, for instance when the thing wants to read the entire codebase looking for information only available in an online doc, is now called manual mode; the non 10x developer mode.
I would like to try this. Any accessible way to verify that a USB pen was not infested with malware in between visits?

4·3 months agoWoah, that is bonkers. An I assume the mental model of what the code does in the second example is also much more limited.
Any specific thing besides the usual that you can point out that made the second example so bad due to AI tools? I want to have more concrete examples on how this fails to try to push back where I work.
Makes sense. “Everyone” knows a lot about windows’ jargon and UX due to its prominence in education, work and consumer market (turns out for-profit corpos have a bunch of money to throw around). I wish I knew about Linux when I was much younger :(

How did you tell them no? Just straight out?
Sleep helped. Also, the FOSDEM link you sent. I was not aware of that was going on.

Neat! As someone who never had that much luck with Spotify’s recommendations, this is part of what worked for me.
When I want a specific mood or even artist for music I own, I use navidrome.
To expand that collection I use bandcamp (and bandcamp Fridays).
To discover new stuff, I rely on recommendations from friends or go wide with sources like NTS radio or similar.

Run… No! Wait.
