I actually did this at one point, because OneDrive was the cheapest cloud service I had easy access to, back then. I did use only an encrypted vault, though.

3·11 days agoReminds me of my try of Nobara. I do clean install, it installs and starts updating itself for a long while. Afterwards it tells me to reboot, and that the update has failed. I am??? Since I am a noob, so I reboot. And the whole system fully breaks, and no trouble-shooting helps, so I have to re-install. No biggie, just mildly annoying, it was a clean install after all. Then I do some searching to figure out, what went wrong, and find out, that updates failing and the system fully breaking, and having to re-install it if you reboot, is apparently normal behavior for Nobara.
I mean there must be people who want this and nothing else,
Honestly I am on gnome, because I do not know shit about linux. I did not even know what gnome or plasma were, when I started, barely still understand the difference even now. I just picked some distros that were recommended for a total noob coming from windows, and stuck with the one I liked the best.

1·18 days agoI think it is very interesting, that because of photography (and later photo editing) the realistic art has indeed lost part of its core value. Now, if you see a fully photorealistic picture, you will assume it is just a photograph, unless you are told the story of, how some artist spend thousands of hours to make it, after perfecting their skills for years. The effort becomes the defining, important thing, not what the result looks like.

That depends which of them, and the style you play it. I have played the Sims 2 for twenty years, and do not remember when was the last time I played some boring everyday life with a single family. I do things, like create huge family trees and play the entire neighborhood as one, tangling the relationships, and making drama and whatever I feel like. Murder mysteries, cults, monasteries, a nursing home for the elderly, fill big graveyards with a serial killer, build random stuff like an opera house or an art gallery, and run them as a businesses… Adding mods especially lets you play however you want. I even played a genuine Zombie Apocalypse scenario, with mods, that made the zombified sims npc’s, that would attack everyone on their own, and infect the attacked, who would then soon die and turn into another zombie.
Healthy humans, unfortunately.
I agree, yes. I always try to have that conversation, even if the other side seems to be arguing, since at the beginning I am interested in their thoughts and motives, and trying to get them to understand mine. I do enjoy getting people angry though, so at certain point, if they are clearly arguing in bad faith, the calmness becomes a tool, to make them look like morons.

Nobody’s complaints with setting Linux up are that it runs slowly.
Eehh… I put Mint on my old laptop, and it was like being stuck in a tar, even though it ran Windows 10 without problems. In the end I just switched it, to another distro, and now it works fine.
That is good to know, too!

I mean… A lot of people really hate their parents, but still share their last names.
