Ironically If I put up a sizeable panel on the ground, it would probably save power simply by shielding the windows from the heat of the sun. One put up like a canopy would be amazing as well.

Such pain, Such pleasure.
You called, we came.

I’m going with they look nightmarish all around. Kayaked to a remote island. Nah, I just walked into the next Alien movie.

Sigh. That’s what my “work wife” would call me. And no, nothing happened; she just decided all of that on her own.
I’ve seen a lot of them in person. 10/10 creepy.
As Sam wrote, HOAs are terrible. I thought I escaped by moving only to have the city do the same, sigh. Bonus points: I have a old oak tree that’s half dead, can’t be cut down because it’s “protected” and it’s destroying my foundation and driveway. But the next hurricane will likely topple the tree on the road and it’s their problem then since the area it’s on is “city property” so yeah you’re luck you can have a garden. I really wanted to put one in the front yard then again the tree will kill it all anyway.
It can get overly complicated. there’s so many random laws that basically you give up. Like I have a tiny garden in the back yard, which won’t give you issues; but the front yard can result in a $250 daily fine if it’s not to their liking. I had to cut off part of my driveway, which everyone else has, so my lot can be more “herbaceous” because someone (neighbor that has a tree cutting company, salty cunt) across the street called the city about me trimming a tree so a branch so it didn’t fall on my roof. I made sure to get the shittiest invasive grass you can get.

2·7 days agoSomething like this happened to me and I’m not very well tech versed anymore. But I’ll put it this way, somehow confidential government files (nothing too serious) from 2015 ended up on my computer that I built a few years ago. I honestly I’m still baffled and yes, I used my old email because I was lazy and was going to use this for gaming anyway.

51·7 days agoYep. The college I attend got hacked twice in a year. First time they went with “it’s maintenance” on a Monday at peak hours, you know like you would maybe do that at I don’t know? When everyone’s sleeping? The second time they fessed up and sent out text’s that they “fixed” the data breach. So yeah cool all the school email data is out there now; sucks for those that use that as their Microsoft computer login.
I agree. I chose not to have kids for various reasons. And my “skilled” lol trade skills will die with me.

With all the food recalls, I’m sure plumbing is a high demand job.
Jokes aside; trades suck. If you like hot ass heat, cramped places, constant injuries, buying your own tools, ruining your body before you reach forty, and annoying customers; then it’s the job for you. This is an anecdotal take but yeah it’s not fun. I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I say I wish I did anything else for the last ten years. The money was good but the added pain isn’t worth it.
