If this has to do with not wanting Bambu to monitor what you print, you could do is set up your own router (OPNsense, PFsense, OpenWRT) and put a VPN (tail scale, netbird) on it. Then you can set your printer to LAN in the router software, and with the VPN tunneling all your traffic through your network, your device will act as if it on the LAN. From there, you can send prints even out of the house without using their server side remote print functions.

There is absolutely a level of speculation to this insane bubble. I’m not going to sit here and tell you to ignore the evidence of your eyes. Obviously there is an aspect of short sighted money chasing (pretty standard capitalist bs), and there is absolutely an aspect of corporate greed and the companies trying to outbuild, outcompute one another. But for the people at the top (Miller, Thiel, Elston, Musk maybe, and others), they absolutely have long term goals. That’s capitalism. The greatest irony is that free market has been associated with capitalism. I’m personally not a huge free market fan anyways, as I think it carries it’s own problems, but I find it funny that libs and cons think of free market as a capitalist society.

In my, admittedly imperfect, view I feel like if some society really wanted an actual free market it would a socialist one. From there, ideas and items could actually compete. If this hypothetical society kept money and markets, as described so far, and people’s needs were met, then luxuries and unnecessary but enjoyable products could be sold in this situation.

Companies have been destroying inventory and throwing out food, in such abundance it makes me sick, for decades. Look into Bonsai Ternary models. They’re “1.5” bit models that have to be trained that way (so no taking a full model and quantizing it down) but they are so efficient and they can run on CPU only, though it’s a bit alpha at the moment. Really cool company and projects.

You have to create a specific environment for them though, using Bonsai’s GGUF version which enables them to run properly. So unfortunately, no use in LM Studio yet.

Depending on where you live, bamboo bristled tooth brushes should be somewhat easy to find. I definitely prefer them over plastic bristles.
