I swear, the whole “You know if someone is a vegan because they’ll be sure to tell you” thing is a total myth. Never seen it once in my life.

But yeah lots of packages have a -bin counterpart that will install a lot quicker than compiling it for yourself.

One suggestion is to look for -bin versions of the packages you want. Those are precompiled and should install only marginally slower than a regular pacman package.

Linux aside, would it not benefit the world if people moved away from non-free software? To me, this is a good reason to encourage people to switch, not discourage them.

I have a few Ext4 drives connected and I mount them in /etc/fstab and that’s it.

I’ve yet to find a reason to change it.

Waydroid’s performance is pretty good.

I never tried any games through it my my guess is it would work, but…

• Still may not be native performance.
• Waydroid’s VM takes a minute or so to start u0 for the first time, and eats a lot of RAM while its running.
• Expect your battery to drain a good deal faster to play your Android game(s)

That said, I will re-emphasize that the performance of apps in Waydroid is pretty dang smooth once its running. I stopped using it on my phone since I no longer needed the one app I had it for.
