If self hosting your music you could always go down the route of Listenbrainz scrobbling with something like Explo to autograb the weekly recommended playlist. Same goes for Last.fm. Music discovery is also the thing that had me hooked for so long.

Just got done studying for an AWS cert required for my job. It was 150 bucks and an absolute waste of my time. Do not envy us.

I can actually speak to this as I also have weird issues with FF that doesn’t happen on a Chromium based browser.

Forms are a huge pain in the ass on FF a nonzero amount of time. It seems form validation and error handling simply fail a lot and it makes it almost impossible to navigate, even with me trying to fix their broken code.

Another weird place I’ve had issues intermittently is marketplace grids. Think Home Depot search results. Entire grids won’t show up or have CSS beyond comprehension.

Lastly video codecs. I use asbPlayer a lot and FF just does not have the same capabilities.

I can’t speak on OPs problems but I’ve absolutely had my fair share.

I don’t really believe so. Auto manufacturers have to specifically put Android Auto (and apple CarPlay) onto the firmware that lives on your cars system. Finding something that interacts with one of them without actually using that software seems extremely difficult or even impossible.

It may be done, possibly, but I imagine it would be extremely limited.

AirVPN and IVPN are both fine. I don’t know why your hemisphere should matter aside from straight up being blocked so kind of hard for me to recommend without knowing that.

AirVPN and IVPN are both great options.

Also it’s a damn VPN. Pick another one. It’s not even like they can use the excuse that it’s the best in the field (still not an excuse but loads better than, I just “like” it)

Does anybody have any recommendations for a non chrome based browser that has the compatibility to play things like MKV files? That’s essentially the only thing I keep my Thorium install around for. I use an app that I push an MKV to and then add subtitles in order to study Japanese.

Same here. The Tailscale app also easily passes the wife test which WG unfortunately does not.

He said it was “in part” and you are acting like my guy personally spun up EC2 instances that kill people or something. In his post he even recognizes the problem but here you are just ramming it down everyone’s throats that it’s really the OSS devs saving the world out here.

I’ve been in the space for almost a decade at this point and by god OSS devs have to be the weirdest people I’ve ever met. Always some sort of superiority complex or something.

This kind of attitude towards people just trying to get by is a pretty shitty one. You aren’t above anybody by being an OSS dev.

And if not a god, at least somebody with a really funny sense of humor.
