Why not save a step, fuck bitlocker, and use veracrypt to encrypt your drive in the first place?

Ad for an ad-blocker. Genius 🤣
What are the “other reasons”? Thought about trying it.
I totally get that. Took me a while too and then I felt so dumb, because their logo was the colosseum in flames and everything made so much sense in hindsight.
If it does was you need it to do you should definitely use it, privacy vise it’s obviously way better than google. Haven’t tried in in about 2 years, maybe the search results got better but the last time I tried it often presented me weird sites that technically contained the words I searched for but were completely irrelevant - entered the same question onto Google and immediately got me a stack overflow question that was practically the same question I had but phrased a bit differently. But as I said, maybe it’s no longer so bad as when I tried it.
Yeah, like Nero … burning Rom(e).
Wasn’t that FCKGW-RHQQ2-YX… Something 🤣 knew that entire key for a pretty long time, but looks like it starts to fade.
DuckDuckGo is basically just Bing with a bit more privacy and Bing search results suck too.
Nice though experiment, but doesn’t hold up to scrutiny on many levels (not meant in a condescending way, just to spinn that thought experiment further)
First, we can’t even agree on how/what to exactly measure with penis length. Even if we fixed that, the actual distribution itself doesn’t have buckets (like size ranges) but would contain all data points individually. If we measure with unreasonably high precision and assume that penis length is a real (in a mathematical sense) number than there is a 0% chance that two people have the same penis length and there would be no person that has an exactly average penis length.
Stepping back from this thought experiment, there is data for penis length and the standard deviation is wider than most people would expect, it’s far from 90% being average unless your average bucket is something like 5-20cm
I really appreciate people helping other people especially because the internet is often such a harsh and toxic place, but I don’t think presenting a counter that’s factually wrong really helps.
And you are right, it’s not important. I mean it’s not even a requirement to have a penis at all for intimacy. So unless you don’t have a tongue, no hands (not even 10 fingers required) you should be ok. You could also try toys.
Penis length is often an ego thing and that’s hard to fix in a lemmy comment.
I think they disagree because not having a micropenis (in the medical sense) doesn’t imply that you are above average.
Assuming penis length is distributed normally exactly 50% of people are below average. If you remove 0.15‰ from that you are practically still left with about 50% that don’t have a micropenis and are below average.
Isn’t that how Macklemore pronounces it in “and we danced”?
Have they announced a price yet?
Wow didn’t now that. I’m surprised I never heard of it, but I will definitely give it a try.
Is it reliable? Ad-blocking is a cat and mouse game and to actually have a useable ad-blocker it needs to be well maintained over a long period of time (for example like ublock origin).
Their concept looks nice, but they are researchers and I’m a bit afraid that they just drop that, write a paper about it and that’s it. If there is no constant maintenance this will likely stop blocking YouTube Ads once Google deploys the next changes.
Update: checked the repo and it’s actually a fork of ublock origin, so it should (for now) be pretty similar, but still they would have to keep maintaining that.
So you need an armed working class for what exactly? To watch Trump dismantle your democracy? You probably don’t need guns if you are just watching anyway 🤣
Müsste korrekt “der Kapitalismus” lauten.
Black holes are GR and it wouldn’t make the calculations much different. Take the moon for example, the orbit would be exactly the same no matter if earth is a rocky planet, a black hole or a point mass.
Signal could still (at least for a short period of time) read everything. Whisper System just has to push a Signal Update that no longer encrypts. It would probably be noticed pretty soon. And no not because of the source code. The source code is what they claim to ise to build the applications but they could easily apply patches before they build. You’d have to reverse engineer the compiled applications ro see if there is code that’s probably not in the source.
This kind of problem is typically way smaller in projects that actively encourage building the clients from source yourself - which Whister System/Signal does not.
