Adding new shops and trees is easy but finding outdated info is tedious if you have to check every point individually. I just thought it would be nice to have a map layer that shows objects by how long ago their last edit was, so you can either update it or set a new “last checked” date if everything is still correct. Maybe with a color code, as in everything older than 10 years would be red, edited in the last 3 is green etc. Does something like that exist?
@simsala Every Door app does that with POIs. You get a warning for very old amenities that don’t have a recent check_date.
And I think StreetComplete also asks you to verify that old info is still correct, and to correct it if not.

EveryDoor works great for this (marks 5+ yo POI’s with a yellow signing, not in the map but below), very useful when using your phone. On a computer, also Overpass Turbo is great, for example: https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/2vBx Click ‘run’ to see the results. Or you can modify the date and the location then run the script.
I want this too. It seems a very useful tool.
