I just used a mini pc to create a seperate network, then blocked internet for TV network. Then i setup microsocks and made an exception for that proxy and jellyfin. This way I can use smartube (it has a proxy option) for youtube and jellyfin for other media without logging in or providing internet access to anything on the TV.

You could try this setup. Create a seperate network for TV with no internet (you might need a seperate rj45 connector on PI), then run microsocks proxy on pi (microsocks is super lightweight, and this will be using your other rj45 or wifi with internet), next install smarttube on TV and add your local proxy. You will need to create an exception in your firewall to allow connections to microsocks and block everything.

This way, nothing on your TV should have internet access other than any app you add that can accept a proxy.

If you don’t care about your TV spying on you, skip all this and just install smarttube on TV and use it.

Note: I just realized pi already has a wifi and an ethernet connection so you won’t need to buy another usb-to-rj45, so use one interface for no-internet-except-microsocks network, and use the other for normal one.

Not quite right. These types of ideas have existed for quite some time and have been used many many times in warfare by US military+allies. This was one of the core things that necessiated a company like palantir.

The only caveat is that, historically when these systems failed, it usually killed brown people which nobody really care about. Take the example of school bombing in iran or gaza genocide.

The problem is that the tolerance for error in warfare is always very high, anything can be written as “collatoral”. But even a small error (like one kid dying) is too much inside a state.

That’s why palantir in non military settings is disasterous.

Isn’t this how we function evolutionarily? Like in a hunter and gatherers society, men were predominantly the ones required to do “one-hit” labour like hunting, whereas women were predominantly the ones doing “continual” labour like gathering food.

This also reflects in our bodies in many ways like our risk tolerance and physiological stuff. There are 2 types of muscles in human body, one that are needed for quick one-off work and other that are good for continual work. And men have the “one-hit” type more and women the other type. Afaik, this also shows up in endurance training and strength training. Men are generally more capable in strength one, while women are more capable in endurance.

So going by the principle of “to each acc to their capability, to each acc to their need”, it would mean that women should do more of folding sheets while men should do more “dragon killing”

Reticulum has built in support for sending or receiving data on multiple layers like internet bluetooth wife etc. Mestastic doesn’t. Also meshtastic can be less resource efficient cuz it sends a lot of probing messages.

LLM training and processing batched requests are 2 things that can be done i think. Batched requests have a 24-48h window when they need to be processed.
