I thought the manager was going to yell at them for doing something nice. This however was much worse. Lol

        No good deed goes unpunished.

Do good just to do good. Even if nobody ever notices.

Don’t be like the influencers, performatively altruistic so they can get some ad revenue.

I don’t go by McDs often because their stuff is almost entirely crap but I did swing through for a 5 or 6pc nugget several months ago and I ended up with like 15. Props to the people leading the micro rebellions.

Idk why, but honestly I feel like 20 years ago I remember getting robbed of 1 every now and then and being really pissed when it happened. I can’t pinpoint when, but I definitely feel like that doesnt happen anymore. Idk if its a coincidence or if they did something to improve accuracy. As for getting extra, i feel like thats only happened like twice in my life lol.

I used to work at Blockbuster. (am old)

They required a credit card to open an account. They would charge this account for late fees if you hadn’t paid them in 30 days or so. Their computer system didn’t check for valid credit card #s. The entire time I worked there, I misstyped almost every credit card number on a new account.

Obviously with people changing accounts and cards expiring, the failure rate when we charged these accounts was always high and nobody ever said anything about it.

I worked for blockbuster’s biggest rival, Hollywood video. They would actually process a $1 hold on cards entered into the system. And HV caved before blockbuster did.

When I worked at the deli at publix (south eastern US grocery chain) I regularly boxed extra chicken wings, didn’t upcharge for sandwich addons, etc. Publix already sells everything at an insane markup. They’re famous for their weekly BOGO deals, but the price per item is still nearly double that of the next closest store. Like most retail jobs, I never got paid enough to care.

Make it to common and it will take away the magic. You got to balance it by giving people 9 sometimes.

I sometimes imagine a wonderful dystopia where someone posts something like this and then gets raided by the fbi and locked up for life or some shit and then I think… Is that really that far from reality?
