Yeah, my parents do the same thing.
It’s like we’re having the same conversation. Like suddenly they’ve realised decades of being wrong about tons of things. They’re all-in against fascism.
Then they say how Biden was a fascist and rounding up people to murder them (covid vaccines and women’s reproductive health). And it’s just so far into a mirror universe it’s impossible to even dig out from that point.
Reminds me of a story from Germany. An entertainer called Stefan Raab was a bit misogynist when he claimed that “woman boxing” was not really a sport. So he publicly challenged a female boxer (Regina Halmich) for a boxing match in 2001. At the time she was world champion in her class. Didn’t go well for him.
He challenged her again in 2007. And lost again. And in 2024 with the same result.
